Did you know that hedgehogs are born weighing just a few grams? Their spines are also covered with a layer of skin at birth. It is only after about two weeks that they begin to see. Tiny baby hedgehogs are born completely helpless.
A wonder of nature — the birth of baby hedgehogs.
I invite you to experience an extraordinary journey — from the mother hedgehog’s pregnancy and preparation for birth, through the birth itself and the first weeks of the babies’ lives, until they become independent and can live without the care of their devoted mother.
You will learn what proper care for a pregnant female hedgehog looks like, including appropriate nutrition, as well as what to expect during birth, how baby hedgehogs develop, and how to properly care for and feed them.
